Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to paid digital products for Taboo offered on stormio.app and operated by Stormio. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record. Your receipt and payment support details will reference Paddle.

2. Refund eligibility

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. You may request a refund within 14 days of the original transaction date if:

  • You were charged in error or did not receive the digital entitlement (e.g. Taboo Plus or a premium pack) after payment
  • A technical issue on our side prevented you from using what you bought, and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time
  • You cancelled an annual or one-time purchase before substantial use, subject to the limits below

3. Non-refundable cases

Refunds are generally not available when:

  • More than 14 days have passed since purchase (except where required by law)
  • You have substantially used the entitlement (e.g. created multiple custom packs, played many rounds with a premium pack, or used Plus features over an extended period)
  • The request is due to disagreement with game rules, room moderation by other players, or reasons unrelated to the paid product
  • You violated our Terms of Service and your access was revoked

4. One-time purchases

Taboo Plus, premium word packs, and cosmetics are sold as one-time digital unlocks. If a refund is approved, we will revoke access to the purchased content on your account. Customers who purchased Taboo Plus under a legacy annual subscription may still manage renewal through the Paddle customer portal until that subscription ends.

5. How to request a refund

Contact us via the feedback form and include:

  • The email used at checkout
  • Your Paddle transaction or receipt ID
  • Product name (Taboo Plus, pack name, etc.)
  • A brief reason for the request

We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle back to your original payment method; timing depends on your bank or card issuer.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before opening a payment dispute so we can help directly. Unwarranted chargebacks may result in loss of access to paid features.
