This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you play Taboo (the "Game"). The Game is a free, browser-based multiplayer word-guessing game that may also be played as a Discord Activity.
2. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information to operate the Game:
- Gameplay data: Player names (which you choose), room codes, scores, and in-game chat messages—stored to run the game in real time.
- Session identifiers: Anonymous IDs stored in your browser to recognize you when you return to a room.
- Discord Activity: When played via Discord, we receive your Discord user ID, display name, and avatar to identify you in the shared lobby.
- Feedback: If you submit feedback, we collect the email and message you provide.
3. Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how players use the Game—for example, which features are used and whether errors occur. This helps us improve the experience. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: provide and improve the Game, maintain game rooms and real-time sync, respond to feedback, and detect and prevent abuse or technical issues.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Game data (rooms, players, messages) is stored on our backend and may be retained for operational purposes. We do not sell your data.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. You can stop using the Game at any time. For requests or questions, please use the feedback form.
